We shared our new core values with our team last week, and so now we’re ready and proud to share them with you all. These values came about through discussions and conversations where we took the time to really listen. We wanted to understand what matters most to them and how it influences their work with us, ensuring what people feel internally is mirrored externally.
We are now confident that they reflect both our essence and the collective voice of our team.
We are outcome obsessed
Why?
We centre our services around really capturing the essence of our clients’ desired results – then we make sure everyone understands them and we deliver them with pace, agility and excellence. This is a distinguishing factor in our business philosophy; a client chooses us because we sell outcomes (that focus on the benefit a client will receive), not solutions (that address a specific problem a client has).
To us, being outcome obsessed means:
- truly understanding what a client wants
- encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- team members taking responsibility for their contribution
- delivering a wow experience
We are passionate and courageous
Why?
As well as a wealth of expertise, we bring enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to our work. We’re passionate about the work we do, and we’re courageous in the way we do it. We are dedicated, enthusiastic, and committed (passion), and we dare to take risks, face challenges, and stick to our moral principles (courage).
To us, being passionate means:
- going above and beyond to meet our clients’ needs
- building great relationships with everyone we meet
- believing in our purpose: that every business has the potential to be better
To us, being courageous means:
- embracing difficult conversations, challenges or setbacks
- feeling able to be entirely ourselves
- pushing boundaries and embracing change
We do what we say
Why?
We’ve built our reputation by always doing what we say, and clients come back to us because of it. We’re experienced enough to bring both curiosity and confidence in the work we do: managing expectations and pushing forward to deliver what we’ve promised. And that makes us a partner clients can really count on.
To us, we do what we say means:
- we don’t make false promises, or mislead anyone, ever
- encouraging the team to take ownership for their work
- supporting one another to collectively meet commitments
- we’re curious about enhancing our processes in order to optimise our abilities
We are a catalyst for change
Why?
We inspire, motivate and empower ourselves and others to accelerate meaningful progress. We collaborate to bring about change. Whether we’re working quietly behind the scenes or seamlessly integrating with a clients’ team, our approach is driven by our commitment to always leave a lasting impact. We hit the ground running, and we bring people along with us as we go, ensuring ideas, feedback and information flow freely throughout.
To us, being a catalyst for change means:
- being the catalyst that ignites positive change
- collaborating with purpose: at pace, and with agility
- drawing on past experiences to enhance efficiency and success
- treating colleagues and partners with respect
What now?
As we said to our team, these values are not just words on a wall; they are a commitment to action. Our next step is to embed them into our everyday business practices, making them an integral part of who we are.
We’ll be leading by example, integrating values into our hiring practices, onboarding process and performance evaluations. And we’re very much of the opinion that these values and behaviours should be revisited and reassessed as our business changes and grows. We’ll be checking in regularly with the team to ask each other how they’re working for us and consider not just those that we regularly display day to day, but those that are harder to show in our daily work.
We are committed to using these values as a foundation upon which the smart/tasking culture, identity and relationships are built. So – watch this space! In the meantime, we’d love to know what you think!
